Photos

Hello! This is SilverDawn, with some more photos to show you!

The Sylvanians' farm...

As you can see, the things we use in Sylvania are things we have collected randomly over the past seven years (since I was four!), and 60% of the things aren't actually "Sylvanian", although they fit in beautifully. Look at the picture above for an example: the rabbit is a Sylvanian, of course (his name is Mr. Blackberry) but the orange sheep at the front came from a charity shop, the brown goat right at the front comes from Africa and is made of banana leaves, and the duck (it's hard to see in this picture, but it's the thing which you can just see behind the wheelbarrow) was very kindly given to us by a friend of our granddad's, and comes from Guatemala.

From inside Sylvania House (the Sylavanians' house which inspired our collection, made beautifully by our granddad). This, below, is the kitchen/living room!
There you can see some of the tabby cat family, our first Sylvanian family, eating around a secondhand collectors' dolls house table, with a rug which was in actual fact a sample from a real fabric shop. The stove, sofa, and dresser were given to us years ago for Christmas, and the picture above the staircase was cut out of a packet of tea. If you want to start your own Sylvanian/dolls' house collection, then look on eBay.

This is the otters' bedroom!

This bedroom belongs to one of the rabbit families! Their rug was a sample from a real fabric shop, too.

And this is the tabbies' bedroom, right at the top of the house!

I'll be posting a picture of the Sylvanians' school (made from cardboard boxes! ^.^) soon!
